This Privacy Policy describes how Bowtruss, Inc. ("Bowtruss," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use our website at www.bowtruss.io and our cloud-based construction project management platform (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically, and information we may receive from third parties.

Account and Registration Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, password, and billing information. If you are adding Authorized Users to your account, we collect similar information for those individuals.

Customer Data

Information submitted through the Service by you or your Authorized Users in the course of using the platform, including job details, project documents, RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, invoices, photos, daily logs, messages, and any other data you choose to enter or upload. You retain ownership of your Customer Data.

Usage and Log Data

We automatically collect information about your interactions with the Service, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, features used, and timestamps.

Device Information

We may collect information about the device you use to access the Service, including hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

Communications

If you contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us, we retain records of those communications.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process transactions, manage subscriptions, and send related transactional communications such as invoices, receipts, and renewal notices.
  • Authenticate users and enforce account security.

  • Send you product updates, feature announcements, and promotional communications related to the Service. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in those messages.
  • Send SMS messages related to the Service where you have consented. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
  • Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage data to understand trends and improve the Service. This aggregated data does not personally identify you and may be shared with third parties.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics, under confidentiality obligations.
Authorized Users and Your Organization: Customer Data is accessible to the Authorized Users you designate within your account. You are responsible for managing user access within your organization.
Owner Portals: If you grant project owners or clients access via an Owner Portal, those individuals will have access to the project data you make visible to them.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process, including a court order, subpoena, or government request.
Protection of Rights: We may disclose information where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bowtruss, our customers, or others.

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, modification, deletion, and disclosure, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Customer Data will not be accessed by Bowtruss personnel except as necessary to provide the Service, respond to support requests, or comply with legal obligations.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and Customer Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow for reactivation or data export, after which it will be deleted, unless retention is required by law.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. We do not use cookies to collect personal information beyond what is necessary to operate the Service. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment card information.
