Accessibility Statement
Bowtruss LLC · Effective Date: June 3, 2026
Bowtruss is committed to making our website and platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that construction project management software should be usable by every contractor, subcontractor, and project owner — regardless of ability. This statement outlines the standards we follow, the work we've done, and how you can let us know when we fall short.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing an accessible experience for all visitors and customers. We design and build with the goal that anyone can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with our website and product, and contribute equally without barriers.
Accessibility Standards
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
The guidelines are organized around four principles: content should be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.
Measures We've Taken
Steps we've incorporated into how we build and maintain Bowtruss:
- Using semantic HTML so screen readers can convey structure and meaning
- Providing descriptive text alternatives for images and icons
- Designing for keyboard navigation across interactive controls
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast for body text and UI components
- Using accessible focus states so keyboard users can see where they are
- Ensuring forms have labels and clear, programmatically-associated error messages
- Supporting browser-level zoom and text resizing without breaking layout
Assistive Technology Support
Bowtruss is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver), modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge), and operating system accessibility features. We test against these where practical, and we welcome reports when a particular combination doesn't work as expected.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is a continuous effort, not a one-time milestone. We review accessibility as part of our development process and revisit areas of the product as we ship new features. Feedback from customers and partners is one of the most important inputs into this work.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content or interactions may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. This can happen with newly shipped features, complex visualizations, or content sourced from third parties. We work to address these gaps as they are identified.
Third-Party Content
Some content delivered through Bowtruss originates from third parties — including embedded videos, attachments uploaded by users, and content from integrated services. We are not able to guarantee the accessibility of third-party content, but we encourage providers and customers to follow accessibility best practices when contributing content to the platform.
Feedback and Contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website or in our product — or if you have suggestions for improvement — please let us know. We take this feedback seriously and use it to prioritize improvements.
